Why check wall thickness?

Walls that are too thin can sag or break during 3D printing. Checking wall thickness beforehand prevents failed prints and saves material.

Wall thickness FAQ

How is the heatmap calculated?

The viewer calculates the distance to the opposite wall for each point. The average is shown in green, thinner spots in red and thicker spots in blue.

Can I see the thinnest spot?

Yes. After the analysis a marker appears on the thinnest spot of your model, including the corresponding thickness.

Which formats can I analyse?

All supported formats: STL, OBJ, STEP, 3MF, PLY and GLB. You can also hide parts to analyse only a specific section.
